These tapered leaders are specially designed for you who like to fish with a little longer leaders . They have a long butt part as well as a long tapering that ends in a short evenly thick part which you must then extend with a tip of the appropriate dimension and length. Just tie on a tip of about 1-1.5 meters in the same or slightly thinner dimension and the leader is ready for fishing. Feel free to install a tippet ring at the end of the tapered part where you attach the lace material in a simple way and with maximum strength. This is especially important if you use a tippet of fluorocarbon which is harder than nylon and therefore can give a weaker knot when joining the different materials.
