Frödin Ostrich Hackles has been used by Mikael since the 80s when he tested hacking with these soft flexible hackles, we were delighted with its mobility, strength and how they make the fly swim. Hacking with the highest quality ostrich hack makes flies that swim so that they look like they're about to bite off a leader and swim away on their own. Ostrich shackle can be used in many ways, these small feathers are also ideal for the "Butterflies" design where the feather is tied in whole, flat over the body. Via has selected the highest quality and dyed them in color shades that match our way of tying all our patterns.
